    Hi, i'm still looking to buy a strop under $30 and Jemico seems pretty good! Is 12" too short or what size do u recommend and is linen necessarily improtant? I heard they are same/similar to Dovo?

    Stainer 12" seems kinda small as far as strops are concerned, where did you find one that size?

    Strop length is a personal preference and having used both short (paddle type) and long (hanging) I prefer long...with around 15" of stropping surface. It really doesn't matter as both will get the job done but I find it takes more laps on the shorter ones.
