My Next Strop
Ok , I now have the TM Latigo/Linen and I love it. Im thinking for the future I might want to get into a Linen or cotton strop for use with a paste. My question is should I get one side Horsehide other side Linen ? Or Brushed leather/Linen or cotton? Or just a Linen or Cotton strop by itself.

Well I never used paste, I just thought eventually I would need it. Also thought having a pasted up strop would be easier since it would be hanging there with my others.

Thanked: 13249A hanging pasted strop, can be one of two things...
Either a fantastic tool that brings out arguably the finest edge on a razor...
or the fastest route back to the hones with a dull edge....
I would suggest not using a pasted hanger for at least 1 year if not longer, so you are very, very sure of your stropping ability...
Now the new felt one that SRD has is a little different, if you are set on pasting a hanging strop that might be a great starter, it works great but is more forgiving to a mis-stroke...

+1 on the paddle strop. There's a set in the classifieds, already pasted, for a pretty good price. Personally, I like a small light pasted leather loom strop. Very easy to control, and good feedback.
