Thread: strop and razor edge

I have notice recently if the blade real shave ready condition (maximium point of sharpness of the blade)while person strops Quality of the strops very important.
I have made w&b and Puma their best sharpness edge and then i tried test.
i have 4 different strops and i did strop 50 laps then go to the edge check under microscope
This is my conclusion.
Strop with nicks or bad quality will bend the edge.Let me clear this one a little
what i mean by bend--edge gets similar to wave .hope i am clear.
among 4 strops only 1 did straight up edge and made perfect edge.
Why i am telling all this
Please guys when you buy strop pay attention what are you buying condition and try not to nick it.
