    Default Interesting antique strop

    Gentlemen,

Once again a curious item I found on ebay I wanted to share with you.

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN STRAIGHT RAZOR STROP VINTAGE SHAVING - eBay (item 220381027817 end time Mar-29-09 19:59:32 PDT)

I dont know if you could still use it (or want to for its age ) but there you go. Great item by the way. Maybe worth replacing the leather for every day use, canīt be that hard.

Forum member The Topher has something like it if not the same model. He demonstrated it for me. I would say it is a cool novelty but not a practical strop to maintain a razor. Just my 2 cents.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Back when I used to spend too much time on ebay, I noticed that those were surprisingly common. I would guess that a couple years ago there was at least one of them listed every two or three weeks.

That's neat, first i've seen anything like that, but I agree with it being more novelty than practical...
