any one heard or even used one of these paddle strop?
the stop is in this site TI strops & accessories its the Model 276 retaling at £45.68

I use the little one with the light brown case for travel and the set up works fine for me.

For the definitive answer, why not email Thiers Issard (I'M sure the address can be found by using google) - the makers - and ask them, or use the link given in the first posting - a re-seller - and ask them?

I have both and use them without paste. Paste on a travel strop would be pretty messy, at least the way I travel.

Well I did ask Theirs Issard themselves and they told me that the twin napped ones 276 & 259 are recommended that you use paste on the black side and the brown side as finisher unpasted.
I have the 259 model.
The brown side looks coarser (but it´s soft) and the black side who is finer has more resistance.
I tried the brown side as a canvas side and finished with the black side, booth unpasted.
I guess that I should do the reverse.

I think I will use this one with paste instead.
Yesterday I ordered the one that Lynn used (used?) VOYSTROP (the one with a napped black side and a brown fine leather side) and I´m gonna use the black side as a canvas side unpasted and finish
with the fine leather side. For daily use.

When I used to use the little one for travel, I used it the same as any other strop. A few strokes on the rough side followed by 30 to 50 strokes on the the leather side. I have never taken a pasted anything on the road except for the get togethers.
