Cleaning the linen
What is the best way to clean the linen on an old strop? A bucket of hot soapy water and a brush?

Thanked: 2204Hello!
String has it correct. I would add that after scrubbing the linen then place it between two towels on a countertop and then place heavy weights on top to keep the linen flat. Let it dry like that for one day then remove the weights and change to some dry towels. Some people have starched there linen after washing to restore the stiffness.
Hope this helps,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Thanked: 4942That's all I ever do Gregg. Some folks use a tad of bleach in the water. Lynn
