I recently made a paddle strop with some balsa wood, and pasted it, but now I'm curious how I should store it. I worry about dust, lint, hair, etc, etc, getting onto it and compromising it's sharpening/smoothing abilities.

I almost want to put it in a plastic bag or some plastic wrap or something. Even if I found a container to put it in, I wouldn't want the sides unprotected because the balsa is very soft and if it bangs around, it will definitely get damaged. I could just hang it up or something, but then I still worry about the dust/dirt/etc sticking in between the grain and to the paste.

Any ideas?
