Strop bought almost as a souvenire
After 2hrs. in a 4 floor antique co-op store and seeing only one Maher & Grosh for $45 in good condition
I have bought four sided combination hone and belt strop for a mere $5.
No. 236 with a reddish label and hard to read manufacturer.
On one side it does have a thick rough red belt ( small nick on the side)
Second side have a smoother thick black belt.
On third side a very thin (1/32) brown leather strip with a nick almost to the center
and the fourth side seems like is just a wood saturated with something (the surface is very metallic and the substrate have a lot of small cracks perpendicular to the handle.
Any suggestions for cleaning, use or donation to the local razor museum ?

Thanked: 402Sounds like one for surgical razors or macrotoms.
Are the different colors from pastes?
You might want to watch out for cross contamination then.
Usually there is paper to cover the strop with to protect the sheath before you put it back into it.
I've got one like that but I find it a bit too narrow and a bit too hard.
Don't use it often.
