What I have is the CrO crayon that Karakoup1 (Valentin) was selling a few months ago. I have used it on a cotton canvas from Tony Miller. But, with the canvas, I was able to rub it on. The crayon is very hard, so after reading a post by Floppyshoes on applying CrO to a balsa strop, I thought I might create a paste out of grated CrO (it dissolves very easily into a paste using alcohol). I'm just not sure how to apply it to the felt.

So I guess two questions come to mind: What would be the best way to apply such a paste to the felt? And anyone have any opinions on the crayon that Valentin was selling?

    Thanks again for advice.

Make a thin liquid, not a paste, then shake it up (it settles fast) and paint it on to the surface. Let dry 20 min between coats. Apply as many coats as you think is necessary.

could you just use the crayon to draw an "X" pattern along the length of the strop and then rub in as much as possible?
