Default Diamond Sharpening Paste .25 Help

I read sometime back how to apply the Diamond Sharpening Paste to the strop. Is it similar to the oxide application proceedure demonstrated by Hand American--after applying and working in, wiping off the excess? or after working into the stop you start using it.

    Need some help. ops:

Classic Shaving explains the best procedure.

The consistency between the two is different. The compound with the .25 is a little thicker. I recommend using both sparingly. The nice thing about the .25 is that I can re-use it after rubbing in a few drops of water after a session of honing without adding more pastes. I use mine on the Hand American Flat Bed Hone. Lynn
