Thanked: 17GOOP for linens, too?
Can you use GOOP to clean-out the linen sides of strops, too? I have been utilizing the white TI paste on the soft linen side of a Dovo strop, to very good effect, but it is now almost gray with metal from the blades.
Just wondering how you guys would clean the linen side.

Thanked: 2209I use soap, water, a little bleach and a brush. Wash, scrub and rinse. Then lay the linen on a towel and cover with another towel. Place a heavy weight on top for 24 hours. Then remove the weight and the towel and let air dry while laying flat on a new towel.
Hope this helps,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
