Shipping a Strop...
What's the best way? I'm thinking of selling off one of my Kanayamas and I was wondering of it was ok to ship it in a square box, necessitating a bit of a curl (NOT tight, no kinks). I'm thinking it should be, since that was the way it was shipped when I got it...any advice on the safest way?
Thanks!
Jim

Ive traveled with my gear numerous times, I always coil the strop and its fine. But if that coil got flattened, I have no idea how you would get the kinks out. I would definately use a box.

I've received them in a loose coil. As long as it isn't a tight coil. A box with some rolled up newspaper ought to get there alright.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Jim, you just have to be sure to coil it with the
leather stropping surface outwards. Should be
fine!

You could get a tube box but a loose coil is fine for very short periods of time.
