I have an old strop that I got cheap. The leather is warped on the top from water damage. is there a way to straighted the leather out again?

Thanked: 4942There may be, but it sounds as though the leather has really gotten brittle at this point. Can you bend it without it cracking? When they start cracking, I have found that no matter how much neats foot oil you put in to them, I have never been able to bring one like that back to life. Got one onetime that fell apart upon inspection. That included the stitching in the handles.....lol now, but not at the time. Lynn

I used coconut oil on the front, can I put oil on the back of it? I haven't tried the neatsfoot oil.

It won't hurt anything to condition the back of the strop as well. You can also use Goop (Hand cleaner available at most auto parts stores) to clean your strop before applying conditioner.
