    Default Mastro Livi Loom Strops

Did a quick search here before posting and didnt see this specific question answered anywhere (apologies if I missed it).

I need a strop for travel. Day to day I have an SRD 3" latigo that I have been very happy with, but I dont want to damage it trying to squash it into an overnight bag.

Anyone use a Livi or other loom style strop for travel? Do you have some sort of case for transport so that the pasted side doesnt get paste color/residue on the other stuff in your bag? My other option I guess is the boxed one, but it looks like its more of a paddle than a strop.

The Livi is probably overkill for my skill level, but I figure its something I could hand down to my kids etc.

    Any experiences/suggestions?

I recently got a loom strop that I think is probably good for travel, it's very compact, and it does come with a box. It's on the revisor site. The Livis are pretty big, I think, if the videos of him using one are any indication. They're awesome looking, though...

I think alot of people use the Tony Miller vegan strop for travel. I have one and it works pretty well, and its tough (being plastic or vinyl), so I could see that working pretty well.

yeah i was thinking a TM might be the way to go, but Tony's shut this week and I need to order ASAP or it wont get here soon enough. have emailed SRD a few questions about how to travel with the Livi and hopefully will get a quick response, otherwise I might just have to lug my 3" SRD latigo around which wont be so much fun.

unless you're dead set on a Livi. Classic shaving has a loom strop.

You can order by email, under the link on the "Contact" page. They'll reply with a full price quote, including shipping and taking off the VAT.

Just be warned, this is a VERY small strop--it takes a little getting used to, or at least it did for me.

Yeah I think I have run out of time to get the order to Australia in time, so will wait and next month will pick up that set from SRD unless someone beats me to it.

    Thanks for the feedback.
