Frequency of paste application?
I have a paddle strop that has been treated with .05 green chromium oxide. When putting the edge on razors I'm restoring or sweetening up the one I shave with, this is always the last stage. My question is, how often should I re-apply the paste?

Seems like I heard once that when the green is gone, then it's time to reapply. I think that was in reference to using it on balsa. Can someone verify if it that's true or not?

I have a piece of balsa that was given to me already pasted but didn't get the job done. On my paddle strop the green seems like it will always be there but the shinyness fades. I notice that when I freshen it then the effect is better. Is this the same experience for anyone else?

Once pasted it lasts a very long time. You repaste when it stops working or doesn't work very well.
