Thanked: 2209S. R. Sikes..... a cool place to visit
Dennis Danich ( Dresden) and me went to S.R. Sikes yesterday and met with Raymond Griffith, the owner. Sikes is a leather shop of long standing ,an interesting place to visit and a source for good leather at a low price.

I purchased some 2 1/4" pieces for paddle strops. The cost was minimal and he cut them to the desired width as we waited.
Give him a call if your looking for some veg tanned leather, he has more than enough!for any type of strop.
Here are a few pics
My 3 pieces
His workshop and a few pics of the leather inventory.

Nice! Are those different kinds of leather you got, or just variations in coloring?

Thanked: 51I was at Randy's house today and the pieces of leather he got his hands on are some nice hunks of leather. I am going to have to make a run there soon and pick some up. the smell and texture of the leather is enough to give a person a bad case of SAD.
