Default Illinois 827 linen break in

Ok I have been trying to search and read everything I could on breaking in the odd beast of the illinois 827 strop.

I have a handle on the leather, but what to do about the linen? It seems to be very hard to work for me after using a couple of vintage strops.

    Thanks for all the help.

It takes about 1 month of steady stropping to break it in...
I have done quite a few as I seemed to keep giving them away to people there for awhile you know Brother in law starts shaving yada yada yada ...

I never did anything other than strop razors on them...

    gssixgun,

thanks for the response. I have been using it in rotation but have just not gotten the feel to use it all the time. There seem to be spots where the blade seems t glide and other spots that seem to have drag.

I will do as you say and just keep at it.
