I saw a video where Lynn had a bunch hanging in his. I guess it really depends if you use that particular bathroom to shower or bathe. If not, there should be no harm in having it in there. Personally, I keep my paddle strop in another room, but it has a wood center so that's just a wee bit different.

I've left all my strops and razors in the bathroom for the last year without appreciable wear or damage. Ambiance I call it. As much as I would like everything to last two lifetimes, I keep buying stuff much more often than that. I'm sure one could argue against it as well. Technically you shouldn't keep your toothbrush in the bathroom either. Maybe someone will chime in on all the damage caused after a few years.

One thing to keep in mind is you OUGHT to disinfect the razor immediately before shaving. That meats after the stropping in prep for the shave. A quick rinse in tap-hot water will rid the blade of any irritation from the disinfectant, itself.

Good suggestion! I don't know why I hadn't thought of that. I was just thinking of rubbing alcohol to remove the protective oil before shaving.

Thanked: 17Strop in the Bath?
Yep! I keep my strops in the bath, and have had no problems at all. I keep them well-conditioned, and they are just fine!
