    Default Dovo strop with wrinkles

I just got a used Dovo strop from an e-bay seller. Unfortunately, neither of us understood the importance of shipping methods, and the strop is cupped in the middle. Numerous threads have already suggested ways to remedy this, but I didn't read anything about my main concern: on the concave side of the strop, the side that will touch the razor, the leather has some very subtle wrinkles that I suspect are from it being folded in a box when it was mailed to me. If I had a camera I could show you just how tiny they are; just small ridges on the surface. But they are there nonetheless. Can this hurt my razor?

The bottom line here is that as you strop if you can feel the irregularities on the strop your razor can too and that's not good.

    Default Strop

I have a Red Imp strop that I received with a kink in it. One of the fellows suggested Fiebing's saddle soap and water. That worked for me. The major kink came out enough that you did not feel the jump as the razor past over. After a week or so the strop hung straight. I have used that treatment on several other eBay strops.
