    Default Belfast linen experiment

So the linen I ordered I arrived. The texture seems good but right off the bat it seems thin. Looking at my Illinois it looks almost like their linen is laminated. Any ideas how this would be achieved?

Anyways, looks like I've got enough linen for at least 3 strops so I'll post experiments/designs here as I make them. Tomorrow I'm gonna go buy hardware.

Honestly though this stuff looks like the ticket. My initial thought is that I'll like the draw on this stuff.

Thats probably what I'm gonna do, but if anyone knows the illinois strops they seems "impregnated" (?) with something. Anyways.
