Default Red Imp (strop)- Was this a good buy?

So I just won an auction- and I want to know how well I did. I know for a fact I did not get "an amazing deal". I just have noticed NOS strops go for a lot, and a couple years ago these were going for a lot more (according to old threads). What I wanna know is- is this a good example of a vintage strop? I just ordered a Paladin from Kenrup and my goal is to have one artisan strop and one vintage strop (for ****s and giggles- I like vintage stuff).

Disclaimer: Obviously you will be able to see the price, I'm not looking for a price evaluation- purely a strop evaluation. If you can comment on whether you think I did well or not, please do, but please try to focus more on the strop.
Store stock strop. 25 IN. long. Unused in cover - eBay (item 380160574680 end time Sep-27-09 16:48:32 PDT)

You stole it. I have seen many a barber when I was a young fellow with one of those hanging on their chair and I paid more for the vintage Red Imp I finally got. I used it quite a bit and still do sometimes. A great strop IME. I don't know whether it is horse or bovine but it delivers the goods and the linen is as good as it gets.

Actually this pretty much taps out my budget for the month. This strop, a paladin from Kenrup, and the purchase of and pending resto of a big 1" Tally Ho... But yeah I've been keeping an eye on teh horizon for a good value red imp wedge... see my sig lol. (and a Union Spike, and a Salamander wedge, and and and...)

I know it says Solingen... because honest to god I like my Solingens better than the others I've tried (French and English...) but I've been meaning to try American steel (I still don't have American blades! LAWLZ! Tear...) so I have been looking at Case, Union and Kinfolks because they have good reps for consistent quality. PM sent btw...

Thanks Gugi I have already diverted to PM. Can you elaborate on the non-American Red Imps though?
