Which is better?
I recently bought my first strop from Damon Blades who I found via SRP. Some of you may be familiar with his work.
I am now curious, which is a better plan?
A high number of strop strokes as your blade dulls, or a couple of strokes each time you use it?
suggestions?

The best option is to strop each time you use your razor. I usually do 25 canvas and 50 leather before each shave and then 10 of each after and this has kept my razor in good shape, and this is a razor that I use every day and have done for months!
The reason for stropping each time is that it ensures you are shaving with a polished/smooth edge and that you have removed any oxidisation that may have formed between uses. Stropping afterwards makes sure that the edge is totally dry and free from any soap that might degrade the edge. Stropping also "realigns" the edge and ensures that you have a really sharp edge to shave with.
If you dont strop each time you will find that your edge degrades very quickly and the odd bout of stropping wont bring it back. You'll end up having to hone the thing umpteen times a year and the edge will dull very quickly between shaves.
Definately strop each time! It'll keep your edge going much longer between honing and keep your razor in good shape.
