maybe one day I will own one of TM's strops the whole thing is trying to con my wife into letting me buy it or hiding it from her when i do buy it

Next time instead of depositing a paycheck, cash it, then deposit most of it (including the dollars and change) this allows you to skim your own paychecks without it being apparent on the bank statement lol!

Lol its what I have discovered. Every now and then buy a few CHEAP things with paypal so when they see your brand new artisan strop you can be like, yeah I bought it, got a great deal though, only $20!
