diamond paste
what is the best way to clean the black that is left on a srd felt strop from stroping with diamond paste please any help.

I have never used the diamond paste on felt. I normally just use the diamond spray. I have used chromium oxide on felt and I will run the back of a scissors on it to scrape off any accumulation, but normally the green stays.

Has anyone tried putting these Felt Strops in your washing machine to clean them up?

My felt (with diamond spray) is getting black. I will use Lynn's suggestion of scraping it with scissors but I googled 'cleaning felt' and came up with this here . I don't know if it would be a good thing for the felt hanger or not. You pays your money and you takes your chances.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
