GOOP to clean abrasive from a strop?
I've heard that GOOP, or a non-abrasive hand cleaner is good to remove chromium oxide or diamond paste from leather. Could someone please post a detailed method for doing this - start to finish? I wiped as much off as I could with an old damp washrag, and it has dried now. Now sure about the goop, or what comes next..........Thanks! Jeff

Looks like Keith is re-tooling the HandAmerican website. He has complete directions. Basically, take ordinary GOOP (not the citrus-type cleaners), put a dab on the leather, and start rubbing. When finished, wipe with a clean paper towel. The process make take a few ties to get everything totally off.
