Strop 'Scuff'
Gentlemen,
I am going to make the jump to a straight blade. A couple of years ago I bought a Tony Miller strop. I can't remember the exact model, but it has a #1 on it and has canvas backing. Anyhoo, I packed it away all safe and sound I thought, but yesterday when I unpacked it I see that it somehow has some slight scuffing in it. It looks like what could happen to a leather shoe if you lightly brushing it against a rough surface. It's not bad and hardly noticeable, but I can feel it slightly with my fingertips when I glide them over it. My question is how can I fix it or do I even really need to worry about it? Thank you in advance.

You can use a pumice stone to smooth it out.

Thank you. I was just thinking that too. I'll get one and then smooth it over the scuff. Thanks for the reply.
