Thanked: 0Thiers-Issard Chromium Oxide paste
Being European it has been a hassle trying to obtain chromium oxide locally. I have found a place that sells Thiers Issard chromium oxide paste, but I can’t find any reviews or data about it. So I thought I would ask here if anybody has tried it, or knows anything about it?

I don't know where you are in Europe, but many of our German members have been able to get their hands on very high quality CO powder.
Barring that, I have heard that the TI stuff is about the same as any other high quality CO, no better, no worse.

Thanked: 0Yeah thanks I just noticed in another thread, that some people get chrome-oxide pigment from, Kremer pigmente in Germany and it is dirt-cheap to. Somebody rated it at 0,3 micron, is that to fine to use strait after my 12k Chinese stone?

It is definitely good enough. Most of what we have in terms of CO is about .5 micron (or ,5 for you European lot), and it is great for use after a 12k or barbers hone.

Thanked: 0It was at invisible edge I saw the paste, but in the heat of the moment I have already ordered the pigment powder from Kremer, so I’ll just have to wait and see how it works.
