    Default Small Paddle Strops

I have a small paddle strop which is pasted with the Dovo red/black pastes

The usable surface of the strop can't be more than about 6" long and I'm wondering whether a longer strop gives a better result or just a quicker one? The only reason I ask is, because the strop is pasted, it's more likely to do damage to my edge. Stropping certainly feels more natural on a large hanging strop.

I think the strop you have will work just fine. As you say though, it is a little small but none the less will work. You just need to slow your stroke down and be a bit more tentative while using the x pattern.

I am working with a prototype, I am designing, with 4 sides and a removable handle. It has Crox., .5 and .25 dia. spray and a leather side. It is 8" long and 1" wide. Will come in a carrying pouch for travel. So far, it is working very well, That's why I think what you have will work too.

    Ray,

I'm interested in seeing how that works out. I do a fair amount of traveling as I live 600 miles from school and my fiance goes to school in a different state. Hopefully it will be a very solid product, just like your others.
