Default Hard wool felt w/ diamond spray

Will stropping on one of the Lynn's hard wool felt strops with diamond spray do anything to a razor that only has one bevel. It is my understanding that pasted strops only did anything for a razor honed with tape...I'm wondering if I am wrong.

IME the SRD hard wool felt hanger with the diamond spray will enhance the edge of any razor. However you can get too much of a good thing so go easy and not too many strokes before you try shaving with it.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Would you say 5 strokes before stropping or 10 strokes?

Or would you recommend go straight from the wool to my shaving face without stropping

You can use pasted strops on any razor, or knife for that matter.

You should only use the wool w/diamond now and then, once the razor starts to dull or after you have honed it and before regular stropping

If you use it all the time you may find it has a detrimental effect on the blade and dulls it faster than normal.

Basically, once the razor starts to pull or not give such a good shave, do 10 laps on the wool w/diamond, then go to your normal canvas and leather stropping routine and test shave.

If its ok, then great! If not, do another 5 on the wool, restrop and test shave and so on until the edge is good. Just do be careful not to blast the razor on diamond as these mediums are quite aggressive and can dull a blade. 5-10 strokes at a time, and then test before doing any more!

Eventually the diamond wont bring it back and then you'll need to hone it, or send it out to be honed. But thats another story..!

    Good luck!
