I recently have bought some horsehide to try my hand at strop making. I have two brother-in-laws and several friends that I would like to make strops for. I especially want to make myself a large double sided paddle strop for pastes ect.
My problem is where do I get the hardware?
I want the 2.5" barrel swivel and the large D-rings but can't seem to find them anywhere that size. I have the studs.
I know where to get hard felt, but would like to also know where to get the linen or webbed fabric to go on the strops. I know where I can get the fabrics, ut if I cut the fabric I know it will just unravel.
Is there anyone hear who would mind sharing some info on this subject? I would be greatly appreciative.
