    Default chrome bright?

I went to my local barber supply looking for Dovo white strop paste for a fabric strop, and he didn't have any. He did give me a sample of something he called "Chrome bright" which he uses on buffing and polishing wheels to try. It appears to be a hard dry chalk like (but harder) substance used in a similar manner to rouges and honing compounds. Googled it and can't find anything. Rubbed some into a web strop as an experiment. and it does seem to have an effect. Does anybody know anything about this stuff? If so, is it a finer grade abrasive than CrOx?
