    Default Touch-up question

I'm going to order the SRD modular strop because I want to try some paste to touch up a couple of razors.

My question is........if a razor was taped with electrical tape during the initial honing, should I tape the razor for the touch up, too?

I know it's abrasive to do this and I'm sure I don't need more than 20 strokes on the strop. It's the spine that concerns me.

The general rule is if a razor is honed with tape you should use tape during any honing sessions whether on an actual hone or a pasted strop. For normal plain leather stropping you don't tape.
