Wink Can i paste on leather? And both sides or one?

I have my first slightly nicked strop getting little air time since I fell in love with SRP modular paddle which has been my stropping tool. I wanted to build a pasted strop for touchups and to get the edge to as sharo as I can without honing but didnt know if I could only use the webbing, or whether I could use the rough and smooth sides of the leather too. Read a lot of pasting posts and couldnt find the answer. Its an SRP 2 inch webbed and leather strop.

    Thanks!

I may be wrong, but as far as I know pasting your linen/fabric side is a not so good diamond sprays n such excepted, and you should paste the leather. As I say I may be wrong, it happens (more frequently lately) also my rule of thumb is, if you wont strop on it, don't paste it

Do you know if i can paste both sides of the leather, or just the smooth regular stropping side. Lynn had remarked in an email once - when i was asking lots of question about paddling - that the webbed fabricwas ideal for pastes and sprays....
