    There are two sides to a strop. I paste the inside of the linen, the side that faces the inside of the leather, and leave the outside unpasted. Since the paste is used less, it goes in a less easy to access side of the strop for occasional use. I also have a leather strop pasted just for post honing stropping.

    You have two sides to the Linen (actually nylon on your strop), use both of them. Paste one side, leave the other clean for daily use.

    cannonfodder...never thought of using the inside part of the linen for paste...thanks man
