Traveling with Hanging strop

Happy Friday everyone
Does anyone travel with their hanging strops?
If yes,do you have any travel tips, is a paddle strop recommended for travel.
Also brush travel tips would be helpful.

I have travelled with mine. I just make sure it is flat on the bottom of the bag.

I travel with my strop. You can't always ensure they remain flat all the time, but as long as they aren't folded into an unnatural position, or creased, they should be fine. I'll often roll mine up in a very loose roll and store it in a side pocket of the bag. I usually hang mine in the hotel bathroon, but DON'T FORGET IT THERE! I know at least one member here forgot his custom strop on the back of a hotel bathroom door, where it was hung for service.

As for brush travel tips, a travel brush is great if you are on the road alot. Otherwise, you could shake out and dry your brush as much as possible before rolling it in a small towel or storing it in a protective tube. Even a paper towel roll could be used in a pinch.

I'm using a paddle while I'm NFA and it works fine. Takes some extra care and some extra laps, but do miss my hanger. I guess it's a trade off. Do you want to undertake the hassle of keeping it from warping, or teh hassle of the care and attention of using teh paddle. Up to you.

But why would you want to?! Just wrap it in an old paper towel tube cut to size. The cardboard will absorb moisture and help prtect the lifespan of the brush. Or go with a brushless cream.

I've never traveled with a strop, but I would think one good safeguard to prevent leaving it behind would be to zip tie it to the main door, so that you would HAVE to see it upon exiting the room.
