Go to the forum of whatever area you wish such as honing and click on that, when all of the threads pop up look for the "start new thread " button and click on that.

Zagart, Dont feel alone here. I am guilty of this major infraction as well, and have in my possession 3 Beauty and Barber razors and a Beauty and Barber strop. Picked up all 4 pieces off of ebay for $30, shipping included.
come to find out, they are crap. I got myself a Norton 4k/8k hone, and I am using them to learn to hone. I dont know how sharp I will actually get them, and whether or not they can "hold" and edge longer than a shave or two, but it is helping me get a feel for the process. Each time I get the hone out and touch em up they get sharper and sharper. That cant be all bad. Eventually what I will probably do is get them in a reasonable shaving condition and hand them out to buddies who are considering getting into this, so they can try it out before jumping in wallet first. and if they abuse/damage em.. well, no big loss.
In the mean time I do have a "real" razor (shave ready) on the way, that another member on this forum was kind enough to gift to me, and I am waiting for a decent strop to pop up in the classifides.
Take HNSB up on his VERY kind offer, and then start looking for a decent strop.
Do not be discouraged, just chalk it up as a learning experience.
THOUSANDS of people before us have made this mistake too (the guy I bought mine from has sold hundreds... no kidding).
Your biggest mistake would be to assume that the performance of the B&B razor is an idicator if what your experience will be with a "decent" razor, and give up.

Well i really appirated that, i felt really bad i lost around 50 dollors on that, cuz i got to professtionly honed cuz i though i was doing it wrong. And i did take HNSB on his offer gave me a great razor and he only asked a small favor. ANd i did what you said i practiced honning and stropiing with the crap products, got a new strop with the razor, and have been getting great shaves
