HNSB, Nun2, Ace; Do you guys NOT use those fingers? How do you hold the blade for stropping? I'm in this weird limbo-land of "Am I doing this right? I don't know. I could be. Or I could be doing it wrong." when it comes to stropping. I know I'm not applying too much pressure, but I don't know if I'm applying enough. Attempting to apply enough will probably result in applying too much. So I'm trying to sort all of this out.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Peace,

    Hi Bud,
Thanks for the vid post. I don't think it was your vid I saw earlier, but once seeing this I remembered a vid (may have been one of Davis' or some one else) explaining that grip. It made more sense to me now.

One thing I noticed that helped me, was you had the strop pulled flat (taut, but just enough for the strop not to sag), and when you stropped there was enough pressure to push the strop down only about an inch. That's far more than what I've been doing.

    Thanks,
