Thanked: 1587Extreme Stropping Video
Yes, due to popular demand, I have finally succumbed to public pressure and made an Extreme Stropping Video. There's thrills, spills, near-sunburn, and a nasty case of sun-glasses nose indentation, but I made it through in the end.
In actuality, there is not a lot here that is too different to anyone else's stropping videos. But I did it outside, so it is somewhat sunnier.
James.

Jimbo, you hold the razor the same way I do with the tip of the forefinger and the end of the thumb opposing each other on the spine and tang. The three fingers, middle, ring and small, lightly cradling and supporting the scales. I hope new guys take note of that if they are studying this excellent video to learn stropping or improve theirs.
Finally, Jimbo ..... do you have a spare room where an old man can live out his years ? I'll clean the pool and do other odd jobs around the grounds.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for the kind words Jimmy. I wonder whether, after time and practice, that finger orientation becomes the default for most people? It seems to me to be the most ergonomic and efficient "grip" for flipping and controlling the razor.
Mate, there is always room at our place
