Thread: Diamond Paste Paddle strop

I am making two diamond paste paddle strops using balsa wood faces backed with a hard wood paddle.
I am planning on making the stroping area 4" wide how long do you recomend i make the stroping area?

4" may be a bit too wide to get a flat surface. In any case I'd go about a foot long.

Do you really have razors that long? Most of mine are around 3 inches, usually a bit less.

Thanks for the info i shall make them a foot long then.

And know i dont have razors that long just being lazy the material i have is that width i will trim it down to 3" wide.
