Thread: Old question about stropping

I bought an antique strop off the bay, and the linen part of that was similar to what you describe - very stiff, and feels as if the razor is clattering/skittering over the surface. I've only stropped on it very very lightly, and only for 10-15 laps. Hasn't done my edges any harm, but I can't say I've noticed a great deal of benefit either.
