KY? Or other water based personal lubricant? There is also stuff called aqueous cream, it has some petrochemicals in it but it might work.

Not ky, you want something that doesn't dry tacky. If they can't find a strop dressing, then any good hand cream would probably work fine.

So the general consensus is to use an oil-based carrier?

KY? When I worked as a G.P. in the U.K we recommended it as a lubricant for vaginal dryness. It was also used for internal medical examination.
My guess would be it will eventually dry out.

Why don't you buy ready made Puma chomium oxide paste? One package will last you a lifetime IMHO.

I think Keith uses Lanolin. Mixing it with the Fromm's should work too.

Thanks. He was fairly tight-lipped about it when I was placing my order and offered to sell me his paste instead.
I'm not ordering the paste because 4 of us will pay less for a lifetime supply of poweder SHIPPED than for a 5g tube of paste before shipping.

Edit: Where can you buy lanolin? At a pharmacy? Bulk store?

Old-fashioned pharmacist's who still make creams and ointments to order. I have used lanolin as a pre-shave for a while. It is a very viscous substance that smells like unperfumed ointment.

Check in the hand cream section of your pharmacy. Breastfeeding women use it to prevent chapping, and guys that work outdoors in the winter also use it on their hands for the same reason.

    Here's one product that's 100% lanolin.

Make sure it's Anhydrous Lanolin, that way it has all the impurities taken out.

Lanolin and white spirit is the make-up for the leather cream for Rolls Royce btw
