Great prices - I notice they have a 0.1 micron paste - which is finer than I've seen before (not that I need anything finer than .25!).

I've bought blades from them before - very good service (for those Canadians out there, ask them to ship USPS to keep the costs down).

Wow, great prices! I wonder what concentration of diamonds there are as their retail prices are considerably less than another well known brands dealer prices.

I'm on the phone with them right now. She's telling me their published prices are incorrect. Those are BELOW cost. So hurry up folks, call them up, have them honour the prices, and ship me a tube of the .25 and the 1 with the money you save.
In fact the woman on the phone even suggested you do the same.
She's getting me the concentration, should have it on Monday.

I knew there was a catch and I asked the same thing. I know those figures are well BELOW what I pay for Amplex at a wholesale level. Pricing worldwide on industrial diamond abrasives is very stable with everyone within a few cents of each other. A difference in price usually means a difference in percentage of diamonds to the carrier ( the shmutz in the tube that is not diamonds). There is also a cost difference on the shape of the crystals, mono-crystaline, poly-crystaline, etc..... Size too affects price with the larger grits costing more than finer in most cases.

Bingo bango. They are off for Thankgiving weekend, so if you order online before Monday (or whenever they correct the price), they have to honor the advertized price.
FYI, they have different prices for international. For me it would cost $18.00 for the .25u and $9.50 for the 1.0u.

I DID happen to find a local source here near where I live. Engis, they have a division up here. 18gm tubes for $24 of 1.0u and $36 for the .25u. Canadian dollars. That's a great price correct? Standard concentation. And they have manufacturing options for Handmade, Industrial and one other I can't remember. Perhaps that relates to the diamond shape?

The Amplex abrasives I use and those sold by Classic Shaving are called "standard concentration". There are some lesser concentrations that sell for less but I don't use them nor do I think Classic sells them either. Less diamonds, less $$, less effectiveness, more applications, more $$ <g>. Just go for the good stuff.

They are also water based and for the most part are Mono-crystaline I was told today but the sales person was unsure and is sending more detailed info after the Holiday.

As for pricing these have a suggested retail of $22-24 or so but most places retail them around $17 which means not a huge markup over wholesale. Many industrial suppliers will charge full retail so do shop around.
