Figured I'd have a go too - if for no other reason than to see how much movement I'm creating with the flip.

Stropping at slow, slower and normal speeds to try and get an appreciation of what I'm actually doing

    Comments appreciated of course...
I don't know but I think I saw smoke coming off that leather

[QUOTE=Scookum;1036731]Okay, here is another one. This time I have questions about how tight to keep the strop. Hopefully the audio works.

Well, here is my video. I’m sorry there’s no ‘commentary’ I was a little too shy for that. You’ll notice (as I did) that I’m a wrist roller. However, permit to say that I don’t see a problem with wrist rolling; as long as the edge of the razor is held and kept at the correct angle against the strop. That’s just my opinion; I’m no expert but it works for me.

Normally, I do 30 canvas 70 leather before every shave and 10/10 after. The strop I’m using here is my new one; and I only use this on Sundays when I shave in my bedroom. I love the slickness of the linen on this; and the draw of the leather (English bridal).

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Oh good. Yeah, the strop is amazing, highly recommended, compared to this my Dovo strop is a child's toy...

Carl, I wanted that video to keep going. Have you done a shave video with that setup? I'd like to see it in action. Cool stuff!

Just saw this thread. I will make a solid effort to contribute. A few of the new guys who have stopped over have offered help if I need it so maybe they can do the camera work while I strop.

Ta. No, I haven't done a shave video with this setup, only a couple of SOTD posts. Problem with a shave video is really I need a camera man, and I get enough flack in the house already over my weird obsession :-)
