Default When is time to get a new strop?

There's a number of nicks at the ends of my strop as memorials to my learning curve. Should I consider a new strop? Or just don't go over the nicks?

Buy a new one when you want a new one. You should be able to get a flat workable strop from what you have by removing the bad sections.

Just remove them with pumice stone, clean off the old abrasive, use mink oil or strop dressing to condition the leather, leave it overnight and you'll be fine.
