Thanked: 4Strop Suggestion Please
I have been out of the wet shaving world for awhile, I need a strop. What is a good solid strop with a cotton second strop attached? Money no problem, I just want the best for my money, and really lost track of what the good stuff is! Buffalo/Elk/Horse? I am so confused.

Thanked: 1184I wanted to say that but I knew someone would come along and say it better !
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 16Three places to look at for strops:
1. SRD.
2. Tony Miller's website, which is The Well Shaved Gentleman.
3. The Superior Shave, which includes the Walking Horse horsehide strops.

I really like my 3" premier Latigo. SRD makes a similar one. It has a fabric strop and leather so you can coat one side of the fabric with paste.
Happy stropping!

Well, if money was no object, I'd try and find a Kanayama.
But yeah, Tony Miller or SRD are always safe bets.

Strop Suggestion Please
Tony Miller strops are very nice, I've been using a couple of his for 6 months now.
SRD has some great stuff too.
Why not get one of each?

Midstream:
I have had strops by SRD, Neil Miller, Tony Miller and Walkin' Horse, and all have been high quality. Currently I have the 2.5" Neil Miller shell cordovan, an exquisite piece of work, and a 3" Walkin' Horse, which I am breaking in. So take your pick.
