    Default Paste application

So I got the Thiers-Issard paste in the mail and applied a small amount to my extra strop. Just out of curiosity though, how often do you need to apply more? Is there kind of a set amount of uses on it on average, or is it the usual "it varies"? Just got to wondering after putting it on is all.

You should not need to re apply for some time. It should last quite a bit unless you are Stropping a lot of razors a lot of the time. You will know when you use it and the shave does not improve much.

Kind of figured that would be the case...just use it until it seems like it isn't doing the job anymore...so hen it's time to add a bit more. Sounds good to me.

Aesop is right on. If you are only using every so often for touch ups it will probably be a couple years before you need to reapply some.

I use the dovo paste most the time and since I last applied them I have done over 4000 laps on them and they still don't need to be reapplied yet.
