Thanked: 0Strop Paste!!!
Hi Guys, i'm new to this forum but it's been a long time reading all these interesting posts in here.Lots of helpfull people in this forum and good advice from people who has been using a straight razor for a long time with lots of experience.I have started shaving with a straight razor 2 weeks ago and by the help of this forum i succeded from the second shave i did.Yesterday i tried to buy Chromium Oxide (Cr2O3) in my country but cannot find.I was googling about chromium oxide and Oxide of chromium, Winsor and Newton oil artist colour popped up.Checked out the pigment base of the product and it's Chromium oxide.I had one at my home, tried it on a home made paddle strop and the result was great.Very shiny finish and very sharp.Shaved this morning with no problems.

Try pasting the other side of your pasted strop with metal polish, MAAS, Flitz or Semi Chrome are best but, any metal/aluminum polish will work to further refine an edge after Chromium Oxide.
