I would start with the 8k correction, then try 4k if that failed. I'm hoping you use a paddle or a flat surface when using pastes.
I am using the term correction, vice honing, to emphasize the likely tearing of the edge all that Crox probably did.
I would also consider using diamond alone, depending on its properties (micron level, consistency, etc.).

I purchased the same razor in December from SRD. I no longer use any pastes on it as when I stropped with paste it was a very uncomfortable shave. Like I was shaving with a stone. Even though I had stropped it on linen 50 times and leather 60-70 times. It took a few days of stropping. 50-60 laps to get a comfortable shave. I may have done something wrong too. But I think it is worth noting that I had a similar problem with the same razor. A problem I didn't have with my Revisor 8/8.
Since then I found a very nice coticule that I home with and the razor is amazing. I am avoiding pastes for now.

Thanked: 0Okay, I broke down and re-honed. its back to shaving good. I will stay away from the pastes. Maybe its time to buy a coticule.
