    The I have it on felt. My Sheffields do not react well to it, but my Swedish and American steel take a good edge from it.

    Never used 0.25u but I have used 0.5u on back side of leather strop, worked fine for me

    Yes, the diamond paste will definitely find any tiny serration and amplify them. Care must be used to not overdo it (I go no more that 5 laps) and the CroOx after is a must, I think.
