Default Beginner Strops - Illinois vs The Filly

Hello, I'm searching for a beginner strop to practice stropping on as I have never done it. My criteria is that it has to be less than $50 and is suitable to take it with my travels as I move on to more permanent strops. With that being said, what is the life of strops? If I take care of a strop and not fling it around everywhere, would it last me 50+ years?

Anyways, I've come across two strops that seems to fit my criteria (any further recommendations would be appreciated if you think there's better!)
    - The Illinois #827 Amazon.com: Fromm Razor Strop 2 1/2" X 23": Health & Personal Care
    - The Filly RupRazor - The Filly

Also, does anybody know the address to the store that sells the Illinois #827? I live in Illinois and might find a cheaper price if I buy it in store.

[Barbers & Clippers] Fromm Razor Strop Illinois 827

There is the #827 on sale

I might have to buy a couple as back up that is a good price

ps; The #827 is no "Practice strop" it will last for years if you treat it right

I think with any quality strop if you take care of it, it will last as long as you or maybe longer.
